Sudden Oak Death is "here to stay" in Oregon
Lisa DeBruyckere at Oregon Invasive Species blog says last week a four-agency task force gave up on trying to eradicate Sudden Oak Death from Oregon forests. Instead, the group has resigned itself to slowing the spread of the tree-killing disease, which has been most visible near Brookings:
