There are about 10,500 Main streets in the United States, each with its own character. Which would you say is the best in America?

Parade Magazine turned to its readers to determine the No. 1 Main Street, and now just two city streets remain in the competition: Collierville, Tenn. and Oregon’s very own McMinnville. The winner will be named in the August edition of the Condé Nast publication.

Of America’s many Main streets, Parade whittled down the list based on votes submitted to its website.

McMinnville beat out the likes of Placerville, Calif., Georgetown, Texas, and Siloam Springs, Ark., in Parade’s Sweet-16-esque bracket.

“I was born and raised in McMinnville. I joined the Navy and have seen a LOT of the rest of this nation. Though I’m in Virginia for the foreseeable future, McMinnville will always be home,” commenter dyrekaklaus writes on Parade’s website.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Taking a walk along McMinnville’s downtown main drag is like taking a stroll through a Norman Rockwell painting,” commenter smonen writes.
