Portland Mayoral candidate Ted Wheeler just scored a political hat trick.
His campaign announced it has landed the endorsements of Portland's previous three mayors, Vera Katz, Tom Potter, and Sam Adams.
Katz, who served as Portland's mayor from 1993 to 2004, endorsed incumbent Mayor Charlie Hales in the 2012 election.
Hales has said he plans to run for a second term, but has yet to formally launch his 2016 re-election campaign.
Wheeler is holding a campaign kickoff event in Southeast Portland Wednesday night.
