Friday Political Chat: Oregon Governor's Race Is Shaping Up

Yes, the Civil War game was exciting, and my prediction of an Oregon team going to the Rose Bowl came true.  But we're going to talk about another Oregon contest this morning. 

The stakes in this one are also high, and the winner gets much more than a platypus trophy.  The Oregon governor's race is getting really interesting. 

We had Bill Sizemore's indictment on tax charges, following soon on the heels of his announcement that he's running for governor again.

Meanwhile, another Republican, former Trailblazer Chris Dudley is acting all candidate-like.  Here to survey the scene is our juggernaut political team. 

Jeff Mapes is the senior political reporter at the Oregonian. 

Bill Lunch is in the saddest place in the world.  He is in Corvallis at the OSU Media Center.
