If you listen closely on the Oregon coast, you’ll hear amidst the gusty winds and swelling seas the sound of a game of musical chairs.

Oregon House co-Speaker Arnie Roblan — who represents a district on the Coast — announced that next year, he’ll run for the state Senate.

We also have some new polling on Oregon’s First Congressional District race and Washington’s controversial liquor privatization initiative.

And the removal of the Condit Dam in Washington has given environmentalists, fishermen, and political watchers plenty to talk about.

It’s free-flowing political analysis every Friday from Bill and Jeff. Bill Lunch is OPB’s Political Analyst; he’s at the OSU Media Center. Jeff Mapes is the senior political reporter and blogger for The Oregonian; he’s on the line.
