Political Chat: Gay Marriage, PERS Cuts And Oregon Voting Law

This week, politics, the law and social values all came together at the U.S. Supreme Court. Justices heard challenges to a California law and a national law, both having to do with gay marriage. Their rulings could affect Oregon significantly.

Meanwhile, in Salem, the Legislature wrestled with proposals to reduce public pensions and to allow 16 year olds to register to vote when they qualify for driver’s licenses.
