But closer to home and our own time, Washingtonians can buy liquor in supermarkets, beginning today. The state supreme court narrowly approved a liquor privatization initiative yesterday. Can Oregon be far behind. Speaking of initiatives, it appears that the Oregon ballot may, once again, have lots of them in November. And in Salem, Gov. Kitzhaber introduced his new education Czar.
