You can find politics in just about anything.  At least, our political guys can.

We talk politics every Friday morning.  And this week we’re looking over the recent decision by the federal government to withdraw approvals for a liquefied natural gas terminal at Jordan Cove on Oregon’s south coast.  But there’s a new effort to build one at Warrenton, near Astoria.

In Portland, TV ads began to appear in the contest for Mayor of Portland.

And “down the ballot,” as political scientists say, there is an unusual race for a seat on the Oregon Supreme Court that voters will soon have to decide.

This morning, to dive into the week’s the political news, our political guys Bill and Jeff have joined us again.

Bill Lunch is OPB’s Political Analyst; he’s at the OSU Media Center. Jeff Mapes is the senior political reporter for The Oregonian; he’s on the line.
