Same-sex marriage emerged again this week as a big story, both here in Oregon and elsewhere in the nation – notably Virginia. Meanwhile, a review of voter registration numbers revealed that for the first time, more than thirty percent of voters in Oregon are not affiliated with the major parties. A reminder: In Oregon, if you’re not affiliated, you don’t vote for candidates in the primary.
