If you like your elections with a lot of drama, Washington state was the place to be this week. The Governor's race in the Evergreen State is still too close to call. Democrat Jay Inslee appears to have an edge, with thousands of votes still to count. Republican candidate Rob McKenna was not conceding.
"We are confident that thanks to your hard work and dedication that when the last ballots are counted it will be clear that voters have sent a clear message that it is time to move our state in a new direction."
Washington voters also approved a measure to legalize recreational marijuana, while Oregon voters did not. But they did return the Oregon House to Democratic control.
Our political guys have slept a bit, and put this week's election in perspective for us.
