One of the four fires that Christopher Wilson allegedly ignited was the McKay Fire near La Pine, which grew to more than 1,200 acres.

Oregon State Police Captain Bill Fugate says it’s possible that Wilson lit other fires.

"We do know that at this point he started four fires—we have him as suspect of that," Fugate said. "He’s going to be facing charges in Deschutes and potentially Klamath counties for those fires."

The Central Oregon Fire Management Service responded to eight fires that could have been human-caused between Aug. 29 and Sept. 3. Wilson was driving a stolen blue Hyundai during that time.

Oregon State Police is asking anyone with further information to get in touch.
