Song Premiere: Small Leaks Sink Ships - 'Sympathetic Resonance'

Portland’s Small Leaks Sink Ships contributed a new song called “Sympathetic Resonance” to a forthcoming benefit compilation that aims to counter the problem of Islamophobia.

The album, “Philia: Artists Rise Against Islamophobia,” also features tracks from Hamilton Leithauser, Mac DeMarco, Fruit Bats, The Dodos, and Vetiver. It comes out via Portland-based imprint Floating House Recordings on Aug. 18. Until then, you can hear the Small Leaks Sink Ships track exclusively here at opbmusic.

All proceeds from the project benefit the work of Unity Productions Foundation, a nonprofit that seeks to counter bigotry and create peace through the media.

Philia presents a show at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland Wednesday night, Aug. 16, with performances from Fruit Bats, Small Leaks Sink Ships, Dana Buoy, and Dusu Mali.
