Portland’s Aan have been playing their brand of angular indie rock for almost a decade now. In that time, frontman Bud Wilson has seen his fair share of ups and downs. But 2015 was particularly harsh. As Wilson dealt with the deaths of two close friends, the end of a long-term relationship, and weathered considerable lineup changes, he considered closing the book on the band.
That sentiment didn’t last long.
Instead, Wilson poured himself into his music. The result was Aan’s forthcoming effort, Dada Distractions, which is due out on November 18th from Party Damage Records. Ahead of the official release date, you can hear the song “Visitations” exclusively here at opbmusic (above). Produced by Riley Geare (formerly of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Radiation City), Dada Distractions is the band’s second full-length album.
Aan play a CD release show at Rontoms in Portland, Oregon on November 20th along with Minden and Kelli Schaefer.
