Song Premiere: Alameda - 'A Fire'

Portland-based folk rock outfit Alameda are set to release their third full length record, Fortunate Vices, on January 22nd via New Granada Records. Adam Brock of Old Wave produced the album, which sees long-time band members singer/guitarist Stirling Myles and cellist Jessie Dettweiler joined by newcomers Barra Brown on drums and Phil Nelson on electric guitar.

opbmusic is excited to offer up a sneak peak of the album with this song premiere featuring the track “A Fire.” Miles’ frenetic acoustic finger picking and breathy lead vocals form the spine of the song’s beautifully layered arrangement, which offers up a tantalizing preview of the band’s new direction.

Alameda are playing an album release show along with Bryson Cone and Dan Dan at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland on Sunday, January 22nd.
