The band Fruit Bats released one of our favorite albums of the year, Absolute Loser, last spring. The record marked Eric D. Johnson’s return under the Fruit Bats name, which he’d retired a few years earlier. The new record’s beautiful opening song won us over — and a spot on our list of favorite songs of 2016 by local artists. (You can hear the full record here.) The band also dropped a “Black Friday” release called The Glory of Fruit Bats last month.

Fruit Bats will be at Revolution Hall on Saturday Jan. 14. This is an all-ages event. Springtime Carnivore is the opener. We’re giving away tickets to the show, and it’s easy to enter:

To enter the drawing, fill in the blanks below and press “submit.” One entry per person, please; duplicate entries will be ignored. The deadline to enter is Wednesday, January 4th at 5pm. We’ll notify the winners by email. Good luck!
