Part of Series:

Pianist and songwriter Marco Benevento has incredible facility with the piano that makes you think of progressive jazz pianists like Brad Mehldau or trios like The Bad Plus; hummable tunes and the music’s rhythmic bounce bring to mind Elton John. Benevento’s developed a strong following in Portland. He played Pickathon last year, and returns for another shot this year. He and his trio played this pair of new songs in our studio last month.
