Members of the OPB national series Time Team America will be on hand at this year’s Archaeology Roadshow to answer questions and give viewers a sneak peek at the new season.

The 2014 Archaeology Roadshow is hosted by Portland State University at OMSI, 1945 SE Water Ave., on Sunday, June 1, at 11 a.m.

Time Team America’s Chelsea Rose will join OPB producers Bruce Barrow and Catherine Stimac to screen clips from the new season of Time Team America and answer audience questions starting at 1 p.m. The one-hour “Civil War Prison” episode from the new season will air at 2 p.m.

“Bringing the science of archaeology to the masses is a driving force behind Time Team America, and the Archaeology Roadshow is such a great opportunity for the public to come together in a fun and meaningful way,” says Rose.

The Archaeology Roadshow is free and open to the public. The day also features exhibits, a kid dig and a panel of experts who will help to identify treasures brought in by the public. Learn more at www.opb.org or www.pdx.edu/anthropology/archaeology-roadshow.
