League Of Women Voters And Think Out Loud To Host Gubernatorial Candidate Debate On Oct. 6


The League of Women Voters of Lane County (LWVLC) and OPB’s daily radio program Think Out Loud will co-host a debate among candidates for Oregon governor on Thursday, October 6, at Churchill High School in Eugene. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Think Out Loud host David Miller will moderate the debate among the three candidates:

  • Kate Brown, Democratic Party
  • Bud Pierce, Republican Party
  • Cliff Thomason, Independent Party  

The debate will introduce gubernatorial candidates to area residents, increase understanding of major public policy issues and encourage informed voting. The audience will be able to submit written questions for the candidates during the event, and Think Out Loud listeners can submit questions in advance via Facebook, email or by calling 503.293.1983.  

In addition to airing live on OPB Radio and KLCC, the debate can also be streamed online at www.opb.org and through the OPB News app and will re-air at noon on KLCC and at noon and 8 p.m. on OPB Radio on October 7.
