The Dancer
- Where: Portland Art Museum, Portland
- When: February 2nd – May 11th
- There’s a new exhibit at the Portland Art Museum worth visiting -- titled: The Dancer. It explores the images of the dancer in the work of three artists, including Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec. This landmark exhibition is appearing exclusively at the museum through May 11th. It’s free for members, otherwise, there is an admission charge to the museum.

Latino Visions:
- Where: Jacobs Gallery in the Hult Center, Eugene

- You may remember our story on Cristina Acosta, who had a passion for painting the Madonna. Her work can been seen in a show now open in Eugene. “Latino Visions” features ten artists with Latin heritage, including Cristina and another art beat alum, Paulina Hermosillo.

- John Frohnmayer's “Spin” makes its debut at Oregon State University this week for a 6 night run. John told me his play pokes fun at both the right and the left. It also features David Ogden Stiers former of the MASH tv show. It’s May 8th through the 17th at the Withycombe Hall Theatre on 30th and Campus way in Corvallis.

“Half a Million Pots”
- Where: LBCC Benton Center, 757 NW Polk Avenue, Corvallis
- When:
- If you’re in Corvallis, head over to the Benton Center to help celebrate “half a million pots.” You won’t really see that many ceramic pots, the title refers to the long history of the Linn Benton Community College’s ceramics program. It runs through May 20th. You’ll see ceramics of every kind of firings – reduction, raku, salt, soda, charcoal and more.

- NW Childrens Theatre presents Sleeping Beauty..the classic tale of an enchanted sleep and kiss from the handsome prince that awakens her. Suitable for children ages 5 and up, it runs through May 25th at the NW Neighborhood Cultural Center on Everett St.

Oregon Cabaret Theatre: Altar Boyz

- Oregon Cabaret Theatre presents Altar Boyz…a very funny musical that combines the love of the Lord with a boys’ pop band. I saw the national tour last year and loved it. This local production is in Ashland…and runs through June 1st…it’s worth a look.
