- "Echoes: A Century Survey" was an exhibit of New York artist, Arnold Mesches. Presented in collaboration with the Pacific Northwest College of Art and the Oregon Jewish Museum, the show included close to 200 pieces, spanning 55-60 years worth of work. The artist's paintings, drawings, collages and photographs present a survey of the last century based on world history and the artist’s own personal childhood and life in America.

- Clothing designer Anne Beard dreams up and sews together unique western wear. She uses silk from Thailand and India as well as the more traditional gaberdine, and embroiders or appliques patterns of stars, horseshoes, cowgirls and buffalo herself. Beard grew up on a ranch and her husband's family supplies bulls to rodeos, and she says ideas come to her easily. But one of her creations can take weeks or even months to put together.

- Art Beat visits Ken Kesey on his family farm near Eugene. He talks about writing and his current projects. He's working on an art book about life in prison, and hand-painting the cardboard covers for a film he's releasing on video. The video is called "Intrepid Traveler and his Merry Band of Pranksters Look for a Kool Place," and it contains scenes from his famous 1964 bus ride as well as newer footage.
