Drummer Mel Brown

Mel Brown, a Portland native, joined Portland's hopping jazz scene of the 1960s when he was a teenager. He went on to play behind some of Motown Records' stars before returning home. He likes to play in the style of Art Blakey but has just released a funkier album called "Mr. Groove."
