- At the Hawk Creek Gallery near Neskowin on the Oregon Coast, painter Michael Schlicting makes a living selling his own paintings. He's owned the gallery for 22 years and in the summer he paints there every day. He favorite scenes are from France, Italy and the Oregon Coast, and he tends to work windows and doorways into almost every painting.
