Painter Michael Schlicting
At the Hawk Creek Gallery near Neskowin on the Oregon Coast, painter Michael Schlicting makes a living selling his own paintings. He's owned the gallery for 22 years and in the summer he paints there every day. He favorite scenes are from France, Italy and the Oregon Coast, and he tends to work windows and doorways into almost every painting.

Musician Thara Memory
Thara Memory is well known for playing a smoking jazz trumpet at clubs around town. He grew up listening to all kinds of music, and as an adult enrolled at Marylhurst University to get a degree in conducting.
