Although best known for his Oregon landscapes, Sisters painter Steve Allely has a lot more on his plate. He creates meticulously detailed historical paintings, and works in oil, acrylic and watercolor. He also does book illustrations, makes artifact replicas for museums, and occasionally makes jewelry.

Painter Arvie Smith
Arvie Smith's paintings are not only bold and colorful, but also challenging. Arvie says he doesn't paint, but rather tells stories. As an African American whose great-grandmother grew up as a slave, Arvie's work challenges us with the struggle and pain of the African American experience. Arvie's main gig is as an instructor at PNCA. Additionally, he gives back to the community by sharing his talents of painting and teaching with at risk youth.
