Sculptor Sonia Kasparian

Balancing creative work with financial needs is a challenge for many emerging artists. Sonia Kasparian works full time at Nike as a clothing designer, for the money and because she likes it. Her spare time is devoted to wire and mesh sculptures. Art Beat follows her as she prepares for a gallery show.

Symphony "The Spirit of Time"

Composer and University of Oregon professor Robert Kyr was inspired to write a symphony by his work with an on-campus project called Waging Peace in the New Millenium. He put together the premiere of his symphony with the collaboration of the Eugene Symphony.
