Groove Theory
What happens when you cross baroque with jazz, rock, blues, and folk? In 1999, Oregonian jazz violinist Hollis Taylor met British baroque violinist Monica Huggett. Three years later, their friendship and collaboration produced Groove Theory, a composition created by Ms. Taylor expressly for Ms. Huggett and the Portland Baroque Orchestra. Oregon Art Beat was invited to watch the collaboration come together and record the world premier presentation. It's PBO's first original composition and Oregon Art Beat's first half-hour special.
