He's only 15 years old, but pianist Nathan Bello has already played an international competition at Carnegie Hall. He also composes original compositions,plays in the Gladstone High School jazz band, loves classical music, and plays chess. Nathan's love of player pianos led him to learn how to repair them, and he even learned how to sight read the perforations on player piano rolls.

Eugene artist Kumiko Sudo's studio is full of thousands of pieces of fabric. Selecting just the right ones, she sews quilts, collages and tapestries of folded cloth flowers. Originally from Japan, she often uses fabric that she collected from homes where kimonos were going to be thrown away.
