- Art Graham and his wife Diana have returned to the past to make their watercolor, oil and acrylic paints with ingredients such as walnut oil and honey. Each batch is small, and carefully hand-crafted. They founded their small business, M. Graham & Co., hoping to provide artists with the kind of high quality, long-lasting, nontoxic paints that were used by the masters of Rennaisance art.

- Oregon lost a true legend when Duff Severe died in February 2004 at the age of 84. Duff founded the now famous Severe Brothers Saddles in Pendleton. The Smithsonian honored Duff as a National Fellow "for changing saddle making from a craft to an art."
