Episode 539: Thursday July 22, 2004
- Painter Mike Russo

- He came to Oregon in the 1940's to teach art. And Michele "Mike" Russo inspired generations of younger Northwest artists. He continued to paint well into his 90's. Mike Russo’s influence is still felt in the Portland art community.
- Nellie Madison

- She calls herself a "colorist" rather than a painter, but either way, Nellie Madison is an inspiring artist. She's also a full-time rancher in Eastern Oregon whose family was named "Farm Family of the Year". Nellie came to art late in life and says it helped her cope with her late husband's battle with Altzheimers.
- Bill Gohring
- We'll travel deep in the Elkhorn Mountains of northeast Oregon to visit with Bill Gohring, one of only two Jew's Harp makers in the US.
