- Born in Spokane, Washington, impressionist artist Annie O'Mohondro had a breakthrough when she learned the art of gyotaku, or fish rubbings. Fish rubbings were invented by the Japanese more than a hundred years ago in order to accurately record their catch. Annie calls her own process "gyotaku impressionism."

Now his guitars are widely popular across the U.S. and have appeared in publications such as Vintage Guitar magazine and Guitar World magazine. They look like works of art, but he's a perfectionist about the way they sound, too.

Some are shiny, some sparkling and some have a matte finish, but each has its own special, complex pattern that comes from being made individually by hand. The couple works and does yoga together - they met at a bead show.
