- Aaron Meyer was trained in classical violin. Bill Lamb was a Portland songwriter who had some success in Nashville. But they both had given up music, until they found each other. Now they work together, teaching kids about music and composing and performing together, including an ambitious program called Classical Crossover, performed with the Oregon Symphony.

Adopted as a child, Patrece Canoy decided to learn a dying art, and continues to study basket weaving with American Indian basket weavers. She also makes paper from the pulp left from weaving materials.
