Aaron Lamb and Bill Meyer at the Oregon Symphony

Aaron Meyer was trained in classical violin. Bill Lamb was a Portland songwriter who had some success in Nashville. But they both had given up music, until they found each other. Now they work together, teaching kids about music and composing and performing together, including an ambitious program called Classical Crossover, performed with the Oregon Symphony.

Mark Hanson is a virtuoso fingerstyle guitarist and a member of the Acoustic Guitar Summit. He's also the author of a very popular line of guitar instruction books. We visit his once-a-year guitar school and discover what it takes to teach adults how to play, even though they're of widely differing experience.

Weaver Patrece Canoy

Give Patrece Canoy anything from metal to plant material, and she can weave it into a beautiful hat, basket, or wall hanging. Adopted as a child, Patrece Canoy decided to learn a dying art, and continues to study basket weaving with American Indian basket weavers. She also makes paper from the pulp left from weaving materials.
