Monotype Artist Kim Osgood

When parenting demands made it hard for Kim Osgood to continue oil painting, she discovered the joys of monotypes. It's a technically challenging style of printing that creates just one original print. She paints onto a sheet of plastic with printer's ink, creating painterly images that go through a press.

Ron Rogers made music for most of his career in Texas and Los Angeles. Now he makes striking icons of blues, R&B and jazz musicians who have passed on. They take the form of small dioramas, some shaped like caskets, that celebrate their lives, decorated with Ron's portraits of the musicians.
