Sculptor Tom Hardy is one of the best known names among Portland artists. After more than a half a century of work, exhibitions and commissions, his reputation is as large as some of his sculptures. Tom likes to work in stainless steel, bronze, and just about any metal that allows him the freedom to improvise.

Deb Cleveland wanted to be Tina Turner when she was growing up. She ended up being a roadhouse blues and soul singer with Eugene's legendary Vipers blues band, and her own group. Her voice has taken her all over the world.

Braiding Artist Bill Black

Rawhide braiding and horsehair hitching became a paying job about ten years ago for Bill Black. It was a change for the former buckaroo, who now makes his home and workshop in the Warner Valley east of Lakeview. He spends his days stretching, scraping and cutting cow hides into pieces of functional art such as hackamores, quirts and other horse tack. In addition, Bill hitches horsehair for belts, hatbands and decorations on reins and pommels.
