- It took Tim Power several years to perfect his sculpting technique and initially he didn't take anything too seriously, after all it was just something he did between jobs. He started with a fish, using a log and pounding copper onto the wood until a form began to take shape. Tim punches the scales into his figures and to make them more realistic he commissions the eyes from local glass-blowers.

- Saxophonist and singer Reggie Houston moved to Portland recently, leaving the rich music scene in New Orleans where had been a fixture for decades leading Charmaine Neville's band and playing with greats such as Fats Domino. He leads two bands here, one R&B and one jazz. He's teaching and also coming out with his own line of praline cookies!!

- Fabric Artists Lisa and Lori Lubbesmeyer

- Lisa and Lori work in the Old Mill District of Bend, where their studio and gallery is open to the public. Both are self-taught in fiber arts, and collaborate when creating appliqué wall hangings. The Lubbesmeyers have received numerous awards, and their work is shown in galleries throughout the United States and the world.
