But when she landed a gig with the late June Carter Cash, she didn’t bank on falling in love with June and Johnny Cash’s son, John Carter Cash. Laura, along with descendants of some of the most influential families in America, perform at the American Roots Festival in Turner.

His inspiration is the primitive drawings done in colored pencils by Plains Indians during the early days of European settlement. The only paper available to them was the lined paper from bookkeeping tablets.
