Artist Nancy Thorn
While earning an art degree at Portland State University in the early 1970s, Nancy Thorn stumbled upon her passion, Medieval crafts, particularly gold-leaf gliding. After working under east coast gliders Nils Johnson and Bill Keck, Nancy decided to open Gold Leaf Restoration in Portland. Her passion for Medieval gliding has blossomed into a long and fulfilling career that includes gliding, restoration, architectural and fabrication projects.
