African artist Baba Wague Diakite is an illustrator first and foremost, but he paints his colorful images onto cermaic tiles, plates, bowls and teapots. His colorful art is a blend of native Malian folklore and his own unique style. Inspired by his family's storytelling tradition, he paints animals as if they are posed mid-story.
