Wilsonville sculptor Lorenzo Ghiglieri creates western themed pieces including sculptures that are in the collections of the White House and the Vatican. He's especially drawn to eagles, as well as horses, buffalo and other animals. His process involves carving Styrofoam, and then the piece is cast in clay, and wax, eventually cast in bronze. He also paints scenes from the west, such as buffalo hunts.
