Monica Drake, a teacher at Pacific NW College of Art, is the author of the novel "Clown Girl." Her work has also appeared in a number of local and national publications. Monica was a student of Tom Spanbauer and an early member of his Portland writers' group, Dangerous Writing, along with fellow Portland writer Chuck Pahlaniuk. "Clown Girl" is already in its second printing.
