Artist, musician and world traveler Sanje Elliott has been practicing the art of Tibetan Thangka paintings since his conversion to Buddhism. The paintings are a traditional form of painting on scrolls, which monks would carry and use for religious instruction. The detail-oriented process itself is also a form of meditation, accompanied by prayer. Sanje also practices various forms of calligraphy and performs publicly on piano and saxophone.
