- There’s a particular style of Native American Art that you might not be familiar with, because these days it’s seen mostly in museums or private collections. This art is called Ledger Art, and Frank Salcido is a modern ledger artist right here in Portland. This art is involves often somewhat primitive drawings by members of the Plains Trives such as the Sioux and the Cheyenne. Traditionally, they generally depict everyday life around them in the 1800's. Now Frank has his own modern take on the art form.
