The retro-modern look of George Perrou's paintings comes from a unique method. He "draws" the shapes in tape with an exacto knife before applying them to his canvas. The self-taught Portland artist uses bright contrasting colors and off-kilter curves that he freely admits are inspired by the cartoon show "The Jetsons."
