Casey Neill spent much of his career as a solo singer/songwriter. But in Portland he got acquainted with talents like Little Sue, Hanz Araki, and members of the Decemberists, whom he brought together to form his six-piece band, The Norway Rats. He started out as a folk singer, he says, but now he's playing alt-rock tinged with Irish and country influences.
