Using old-fashioned techniques to create custom hats began as a retirement hobby for Gene Baldwin. Now it's a full time business. His cowboy and other styles of hats are often colorful and sometimes decorated with beads or braid. He sizes hats made of rabbit or beaver fur felt by hand, customizing them to individual customers' heads.
