- Dr. Cynthia Suchman conducts jellyfish research at the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon. Suchman focuses her research on the Sea Nettle Jellyfish which lives off the Oregon Coast. There is concern that this predator is competing with local fish populations for the same food sources.

- This highly specialized extreme sport involves a squirt boat, which looks similar to a kayak. This small, sleek craft enables boaters to paddle on top of, as well as beneath the water’s surface. We travel to the lower Clackamas River to watch some squirt boaters in action. Here we see the so-called ‘Mystery Move’ that allows the boaters to twirl and paddle underwater.
