Bryan Bates, Surfer

Meet Bryan Bates, an Oregon native whose love for surfing has him committed to the unconventional lifestyle that unpredictable waves require. Making a living off of handcrafted surfboards, Bryan admits that being a surfer in Oregon is not easy. Cold water, fierce waves, and harsh weather face every surfer who steps onto the Oregon Coast. Bryan is just one of many who contribute to the community of hardcore surfers in Pacific City.
