Hidden away high in the central Cascade Mountains is a bizarre land formation known only to a lucky few. Known as Hell Hole, this geologic feature is actually a tension crack at the edge of an ancient lava flow. A pair of forest service geologists lead us on a dangerous, off-trail adventure to explore this massive crack in the ground.
