We pay tribute to William Finley, a man who made incredible contributions to the future of Oregon's wildlife and natural resources. In the early 1900's Finley and his colleague Herman Bohlman went on photographic expeditions throughout Oregon. Finley was a dramatic speaker and he used his slides and movies to convince President Theodore Roosevelt to set aside lands (such as Klamath Basin and Three Arch Rocks) as national wildlife refuges.
