Rogue River Recreation Conflicts
View Related Episode: Rogue River Conflicts, Tree-top Tour
The wild and scenic Rogue River attracts rafters, jet boaters, fisherman and others in increasing numbers, and sometimes these groups are at odds as to how the river should be used. But new regulations and more aggressive enforcement by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Forest Service are beginning to turn the tide on problems. Permits are being enforced, jet boat traffic is limited, and bears are kept at bay with cleaner campsites.
