The lush 22-acre Crystal Springs Canyon that bisects Portland's Reed College campus stands today as a true urban oasis. It's all thanks to recent volunteer efforts by Reed's staff, students, and neighbors who have transformed the canyon from an overgrown weed patch to a thriving micro-ecosystem and urban watershed. The canyon now sports restored salmon habitat, revitalized trails and renewed wetlands.
