Worldwide, a fungal skin disease called chytridiomycosis is decimating frogs and salamanders. The disease may be responsible for declines in some frog and salamander populations in Oregon, but a biologist finds that an ancient species of frog called the tail frog, which lives only in the Pacific Northwest, remains healthy.
